Liberty Village is a 10,000 SF multifamily project in Hermiston, Oregon — a full exterior envelope package built to a modern, high-performance detail set. Gonzma's scope covered three integrated systems: the weather-resistive barrier, vinyl window installation, and a continuous exterior insulation assembly finished with lap and board-and-batten siding.
The wall assembly uses DuPont Tyvek CommercialWrap as the primary WRB, with Protecto Wrap self-adhered flashing at every window opening. VPI vinyl windows were installed and independently water-tested — every specimen passed, confirming clean sill-pan and jamb flashing detailing behind the finish.
Above the WRB, Rockwool ComfortBoard 110 rigid mineral wool provides continuous exterior insulation. Vertical wood furring strips create a ventilated rainscreen cavity that lets the assembly dry to the exterior, before the final fiber-cement siding — lap on the primary elevations and board-and-batten on the gable ends — is fastened back through the insulation to structure.
